TheMarietta City School District is theschool district which operates thepublic schools inMarietta, Georgia, United States. It is the only city government inCobb County which operates its schools separately from theCobb County School District.

Founded in 1892, classes began that year onLabor Day at four schools. It now consists of onehigh school, amiddle school, a sixth grade academy and several neighborhoodelementary schools.
