Maria Vladimirovna Shurochkina (Russian:Мария Владимировна Шурочкина,IPA:[mɐˈrʲijəˈʂurətɕkʲɪnə]; born 30 June 1995) is a Russian competitor insynchronised swimming.

She has won six gold medals atWorld Aquatics Championships, three in2013 and three in2015. She also won a gold medal at the2014 European Aquatics Championships, as well as two gold medals at the2013 Summer Universiade.

Shurochkina is the younger sister of pop superstarNyusha. Their father,Vladimir Shurochkin, is a musician and music producer, and former member of boybandLaskovyi Mai. Their mother, Oksana Baranovskaya, is a former competitive artistic gymnast. In 2017 Shurochkina had opened her dance school in Moscow.[1]

  • Order of Friendship (25 August 2016) – for outstanding sports achievements at the Games XXXI Olympiad in 2016 in the city of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), manifested the will to win and determination.[3]
  • Honorary Diploma of the President of the Russian Federation (19 July 2013) – for outstanding sports achievements at the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.[4]
