Margo Cathleen Harshman (born March 4, 1986)[1] is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as Tawny Dean onEven Stevens,[2]Alex Jensen onThe Big Bang Theory,[3] andDelilah Fielding-McGee onNCIS.[4]

Early life and family

Margo Harshman was born inSan Diego,California, to Janelle and David.[5][6] She has two older sisters, an older brother[1] and a younger brother.

Harshman lived inLa Costa,San Diego County, California and attended school there until she was 12, after which she moved toOrange County, California. There she finished the rest of her education, first at Hewes Middle School and then atFoothill High School.

Career

Harshman's grandmother entered her in abeauty pageant at the age of two.[1]

In 2000, she was cast in theDisney Channel sitcomEven Stevens as Tawny Dean, the female best friend of series lead Louis. Harshman appeared in 47 episodes in the show's three-year run and reprised the role forthe 2003 movie. Beginning in 2012, she appeared inThe Big Bang Theory as Alex Jensen, the assistant ofSheldon Cooper,[3] and the following year debuted in the long-running seriesNCIS as Delilah Fielding,[4] thewheelchair user wife ofTimothy McGee who works as anintelligence analyst at theUS Department of Defense. Harshman starred on the short-lived TV showsRun of the House andCenter of the Universe. Her film appearances includeSorority Row,College Road Trip andFired Up!

Personal life

Harshman dated herEven Stevens co-starShia LaBeouf while they were working on the show together.[7] She married Austin Hooks in 2017, but the couple filed for divorce on November 29, 2018, after an eight-week separation.[8]

Awards and nominations

In 2005, Harshman was nominated for two awards at theYoung Artist Awards, one for Best Performance in a TV Movie, Miniseries or Special by a Supporting Young Actress forThe Even Stevens Movie (2004)[9] (TV) and the other for Best Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama) by a Supporting Young Actress forEven Stevens (2001).[9] In 2009, Harshman won theShoWest "Female Stars of Tomorrow" award at the ShoWest Convention along with fellowSorority Row cast membersBriana Evigan,Leah Pipes,Rumer Willis,Jamie Chung andAudrina Patridge.[10][11]
