Marginal Tietê (officiallySP-015) is a section of this highway that runs through the city ofSão Paulo,Brazil. The name of this section comes from the fact that each way of the expressway runs near a different waterfront of theTietê River. It is a very important road of São Paulo, connecting the East, North and West portions of the city, and linking theLapa neighbourhood and thePenha neighbourhood. It provides access to theCastelo Branco highway, theBandeirantes highway, theAnhangüera highway, thePresidente Dutra highway, theFernão Dias highway, theAyrton Senna highway and theSão Paulo International Airport. TheCampo de Marte Airport, theEstádio Parque São Jorge and theEstádio do Canindé are located near the freeway.
It is the site whereIRLSão Paulo Indy 300 race takes place.
