Marble Hill Park is an area of 66 acres (270,000 m2) of parkland inTwickenham, in theLondon Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It is anEnglish Heritage site that surroundsMarble Hill House, aPalladian villa originally built forHenrietta Howard, the mistress ofGeorge II in 1724–29.[1]
The park is Grade II* listed on theRegister of Historic Parks and Gardens.[2]
In 2015–16Historic England carried out a programme of research into the development of the park, including examining the early and mid 18th-century garden designs.[3]
From 2004 to 2006 the park was a venue for open-air music events organised by the Jazz Cafe.[4] On 26 August 2006, Irish vocal pop bandWestlife held a concert for theirFace to Face Tour supporting their albumFace to Face.
