Mannosidase is an enzyme which hydrolysesmannose.[1]
There are two types:
A deficiency is associated withmannosidosis.
A family of mannosidases are also responsible for processing newly formedglycoproteins in theendoplasmic reticulum into mature glycoproteins containing highly heterogeneous complex-type glycans.
