Manimi

Germanic tribe

TheManimi were aGermanic tribe. They were mentioned byTacitus, in his ethnographic bookGermania, where he stated that the Manimi were one of the five most powerful tribes of theLugii. They lived between theOder and theVistula.

The Manimi have been compared to the "Atmonoi" mentioned byStrabo[1] as a branch of theBasternes, and the "Lougoi Omanoi" mentioned byClaudius Ptolemy.[2]
