Manilla Shire was alocal government area in theNew England region ofNew South Wales, Australia.
Manilla Shire was proclaimed on 1 January 1960, created from the amalgamation ofMandowa Shire and theMunicipality of Manilla.[1]
The shire offices were based inManilla.[2]
Manilla Shire amalgamated with theCity of Tamworth,Nundle Shire and parts ofParry Shire andBarraba Shire to formTamworth Regional Council on 17 March 2004.[3]
