José Manuel "Manel" Martínez Bel (born 25 March 1992) is a Spanishfootballer who plays as aforward forSegunda Federación clubIbiza Islas Pitiusas.

Club career

Born inCabrera de Mar,Barcelona,Catalonia, Manel finished his formation withUE Cornellà. He made his senior debut for the club in 2011, and subsequently moved toCD Masnou.

In 2012, after a short period atCE Europa,[1] Manel moved abroad for the first time in his career, joiningVirginia Commonwealth University's teamVCU Rams while studying. On 17 June 2013, he signed forNational Premier Soccer League clubRVA FC, being crowned champions with the side.[2]

In January 2015 Manel returned to his homeland, signing forCE Sabadell FC B still in the fourth division. He renewed his contract until 2017 on 16 June,[3] and after scoring 13 goals in only 18 matches, was promoted tothe main squad on 31 December;[4] he also extended his contract for a further season.[5]

On 22 July 2016 Manel joinedSegunda División sideGirona FC,[6] but was loaned toUE Llagostera in the third tier on 18 August, for one year.[7] After scoring 14 goals for the latter he joinedLorca FC on loan the following 15 May,[8] and helped the club inthe play-offs as it achieved promotion to the second division for the first time ever.

Manel made his professional debut on 18 August 2017, starting in a 2–0 home win againstCultural y Deportiva Leonesa.[9] The following 11 January he cut ties with the club,[10] returning to Girona and being immediately assigned tothe reserves in the third division.[11]

On 17 July 2018, Manel signed forReal Murcia still in the third tier.[12] In the following season, Manel joinedMarbella FC.[13]
