Mandy Ord (born 1974) is aMelbourne-based comic artist. Her work has appeared inThe Age,Meanjin, TheAustralian Rationalist magazine,Voiceworks,Tango,Going Down Swinging andRed Leaves / 紅葉.[1] Since 2009 Ord has also had a regular comic strip published inTrouble (magazine). In 2004, she was nominated for theLedger Award for Small Press Title of the Year for her comicDirty Little Creep.[2][3]

Ord's earliest published work was in her own bookWilnot in 1994.[4] Her first graphic novel was a collaboration withAmber Carvan,Brick Dog and Other Stories 2002,[5] followed by her first solo graphic novelRooftops 2007, published by Findlay Lloyd.[6][7] Ord is also the author ofminicomicsOrdinary Eyeball (2006)[8] andSensitive Creatures (2004).[9]

Ord's book,When One Person Dies the Whole World Is Over, was longlisted for the 2020Stella Prize.[10]
