Manamisoa is a rural commune in the Central Highlands ofMadagascar. It belongs to thedistrict ofAmbalavao, which is a part ofHaute MatsiatraRegion. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 4,000 in 2001 communecensus.[2]
Only primary schooling is available. The majority 96% of the population of the commune are farmers, while an additional 1% receives their livelihood from raisinglivestock. The most important crops arerice and grapes; alsocassava is an important agricultural product.Industry andservices provide employment for 1% and 2% of the population, respectively.[2]
