Malvi orMalwi (माळवी भाषा) is anIndo-Aryan language, spoken in theMalwa region of India. It is spoken nearly by 5.4 million people in parts ofRajasthan andMadhya Pradesh.
In India, Malvi is written in theDevanagari script, anabugida which is written from left to right. Earlier, theMahajani script, or Modiya, was used to write Rajasthani. The script is also called as Maru Gurjari in a few records.[2][3]
