TheMakedonitissa Tomb (Greek:Τύμβος της Μακεδονίτισσας) is amilitary cemetery and war memorial west ofNicosia, atEngomi in the area ofMakedonitissa [el].

This is the location where one GreekNord Noratlas was shot down by friendly fire on 22 July 1974, duringOperation "Niki". "Niki" was a military operation of the Greek Armed Forces to airlift a battalion of Greek commandos to Cyprus in order to reinforce theCypriot National Guard againstTurkish invasion forces.[1]

This tomb is the resting place ofGreek Cypriot and someGreek officers and soldiers who were killed during the Turkish invasion.
