State Route 8 (SR 8) is part ofMaine's system of numberedstate highways, running fromU.S. Route 201 (US 201) at Memorial Circle inAugusta, to an intersection with US 201 inSolon. SR 8 is 51.6 miles (83.0 km) long.
SR 8 goes north from Augusta through the Belgrade Lakes region, runningconcurrently with Routes11 and27 toBelgrade. The road continues northeast from Belgrade toNorridgewock, where it intersectsUS 2. The route joins withUS 201A and follows theKennebec River throughMadison andAnson to its north end at Solon.
