Mahesh Raj Soni is anIndian craftsman specialising in the traditional art ofThewa,[1][2][3] a Rajasthani jewellery making tradition using glass and gold leaves and is one of the surviving exponents of the art form which has roots inPratapgarh,Rajasthan.[4] He is a member of Rajasthan Thewa Kala Sansthan[5] and has featured in theLimca Book of World Records in its 2011 edition.[6][7][8] Soni, who is a cancer survivor,[9] was honoured by theGovernment of India in 2015 withPadma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.[10]
