TheMaharashtra State Film Award for Best Film is an award presented annually at theMaharashtra State Film Awards of India to the best film inMarathi cinema. The awards are managed directly by theMaharashtra Government under theDepartment of Cultural Affairs of theGovernment of Maharashtra.
The inaugural award was named as "Baburao Painter Award for Best Feature Film" and was awarded toSuvasini, directed byRaja Paranjape.
