Mahammad Hannan was an Indian social worker and politician belonging to theAll India Forward Bloc. He served as a member of theWest Bengal Legislative Assembly.
Hannan was born in 1958 to aBengaliMuslim family in the village ofKalisara inBirbhum district of theWest Bengal. He was the son of Mahammad Mahasin.[1]
Hannan contested in the1996 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election where he ran as anForward Bloc candidate forRampurhat Assembly constituency, defeating theHindutva-orientedBJP politician Satyen Das.[2] He contested in the2001 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election but was unsuccessful.[3] Hannan contested in the2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election but was unsuccessful.[4]
