Mahalaxmi Temple is aHindu temple, dedicated toMahalakshmi the central deity ofDevi Mahatmyam, located inMumbai, India. It is one of the most famous temples of the city ofMumbai. The temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji (1760–1846), a Hindu merchant.[1] The Mahalaxmi temple contains images of theTridevi goddessesMahakali (Goddess of time and destroyer of demons),Mahalakshmi (Goddess of wealth and prosperity) andMahasaraswati (Goddess of learning and knowledge).
