Fictional character biography

As a young man, Madison Jeffries volunteers to enlist as a soldier inVietnam alongside his younger brotherLionel.[3] After Madison leaves the military, he meetsRoger Bochs at a clinic for physically disabled persons. The two become friends, and Madison assists Bochs in building the Box robot.[4]

Madison and Bochs are later recruited intoAlpha Flight underDepartment H. After Alpha Flight returns to Canada, Bochs recruits Madison to rebuild his damaged Box robot to seek revenge againstOmega Flight.[5]

Madison Jeffries later appears as a member of the Utopians alongsideElixir,Karma,Masque,Random, andTabitha Smith.[6]

During theKrakoan Age, Madison Jeffries becomes a citizen ofKrakoa, a living island that was established as a mutant nation. However, he is imprisoned for attempting to assistDanger by creating an artificial environment for her, which Krakoa is unable to accept as part of itself.[7] After escaping from prison, Madison and theExiles trackSabretooth to Noble Island, a site used for human experimentation. Madison is confronted by the experiments, who kill him by ripping him in half.[8][9]

In the"Age of Apocalypse" reality, Madison Jeffries joinedApocalypse's cause and was a member of the Brotherhood of Chaos, an elite religious group affiliated with the Church of the Madri.[volume & issue needed]

In the "Age of X-Man" reality, Madison Jeffries is a history instructor at the Summers Institute of Higher Learning, located inWestchester County, New York.[10]

House of M

In the "House of M" reality, Madison Jeffries was forced byWeapon X to create anti-mutant weapons.[11]

Weapon X: Days of Future Now

In the alternate future depicted inWeapon X: Days of Future Now, Madison's Boxbots have gained sentience, with one of them calling itselfMaster Mold.[12]
