Maar Shurin (Arabic:معرشورين, also spelledMaarshurin) is a village in northwesternSyria, administratively part of theMaarrat al-Nu'man District of theIdlib Governorate. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics, Maar Shurin had a population of 7,487 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlySunni Muslims.[2] Nearby localities includeMaarrat al-Nu'man to the west,Babila to the north,al-Ghadqah to the east, andMaar Shamshah andTalmenes to the south.
