Maar Daftein (Arabic:معردفتين) is aSyrian village located in theSubdistrict of theHama District in theHama Governorate. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Maar Daftein had a population of 2,046 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlySunni Muslims.[2]
According to Ottoman TahrirDefteri records from 1594, the village was home to 38 households and 12bachelors.[3]
