Kuzma Minin (Russian:Кузьма́ Ми́нин) was abulk carrier, registered inMurmansk,Russia. The bulk carrier delivered cargo around northern Europe, and visits ports such asArkhangelsk,Gdańsk,Riga andPort Talbot. The name is given to commemorateKuzma Minin, a hero of Russian resistance during theTime of Troubles.
The single deck ship was built in 1980 byNordic Yards Warnemunde ofRostock, Germany, and measures 180.5 metres (592 ft) by 22.89 metres (75.1 ft) with adeadweight tonnage of 23,169 tonnes.[1] The ship was registered inMurmansk and was operated by theMurmansk Shipping Company.[2]
On 18 December 2018 the shipran aground offGyllyngvase beach,Falmouth, Cornwall, but was re-floated the same day.[3][4]
The ship was scrapped at Aliaga on 3 June 2020.[5]
