Mitochondrially encoded tRNA cysteine also known asMT-TC is atransfer RNA which in humans is encoded by themitochondrialMT-TCgene.[3]

MT-TC is a small 82 nucleotideRNA (human mitochondrial map position 5761–5826) that transfers the amino acidcysteine to a growingpolypeptide chain at theribosome site ofprotein synthesis duringtranslation.
