MMDA-3a, also known as2-methoxy-3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine or as2-methoxy-MDA, is apsychedelicdrug of theamphetamine family.[1][2] It is the 2-methoxyderivative of3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA).[1] The drug produceshallucinogenic effects in humans.[1] Its dosage is listed as 20 to 80 mg and itsduration as 10 to 16 hours inPiHKAL.[1][2] A higher dose of 100 mg was also reportedly explored and doses of 80 to 100 mg were said to be very similar to 100 μgLSD.[1] MMDA-3a is apositional isomer ofMMDA and hence is aSchedule Icontrolled substance in theUnited States.[2]
