MDMAT, also known as6,7-methylenedioxy-N-methyl-2-aminotetralin, is aserotonin releasing agent (SRA) and possibleentactogen of the2-aminotetralin family. It is theN-methylatedderivative ofMDAT, similarly to the relationship ofMDMA toMDA.[2][3] It has been theorized to have less long-termneurotoxicity and less hallucinogenic effects than other MDxx derivatives,[4] but no formal scientific research has been conducted specifically on MDMAT.
