Mary Elise Sarotte (born 1968) is an American historian of thepost–Cold War era.[1] She is the Marie-Josée and Henry R. Kravis Distinguished Professor of Historical Studies at the Henry A. Kissinger Center for Global Affairs, which is part ofJohns Hopkins University.[2]
Sarotte earned an AB in history and science fromHarvard University, and a PhD in history atYale University.[2] Her bookNot One Inch was shortlisted for the 2022Cundill History Prize.[3]
