Maconnais (French pronunciation:[makɔnɛ]ⓘ) is a small cheese produced in theFrench region ofBurgundy.[1] It is made from eithergoat's milk[2] or a combination of goat's andcow's milk.[1] Maconnais gainedAOC certification in 2005.[1]
A typical Maconnais is a small truncated cone approximately 4-5 cm wide and 3-4 cm thick, weighing 50-65 g.[3][4][2]
