Máscara Dorada is thering name of a Mexicanluchadorenmascarado (or maskedprofessional wrestler). He is signed toConsejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He is the son ofPanterita del Ring and the nephew ofLuciferno. He began his career in 2021 under the ring namePanterita del Ring Jr., winning theMexican National Lightweight Championship later that year. In 2023, he adopted the ring name Máscara Dorada, previously used byGran Metalik, and went on to win the2023 Leyenda de Plata, theWorld Historic Welterweight Championship, and theCMLL World Trios Championship on multiple occasions.

Dorada has also appeared in international promotions, includingNew Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) andAll Elite Wrestling (AEW), through CMLL’s partnerships.

Máscara Dorada is the son ofPanterita del Ring and the nephew ofLuciferno.^[2] His cousin, El Rebelde, is also a wrestler.^[3]

Panterita del Ring Jr.'s first documented match took place on 28 April 2021 atRey Bucanero’s wrestling school inEcatepec.^[4] Just a month later, he made hisConsejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) debut atArena México, teaming with his father, Panterita del Ring, in theCopa Dinastías tournament.^[5] He gained his first title later that year, capturing theMexican National Lightweight Championship.^[6] In December 2022, he partnered withMístico to win theTorneo Gran Alternativa, an annual tournament that pairs younger wrestlers with veterans.^[7]

In May 2023, Panterita vacated the lightweight title as part of a move to the welterweight division.^[8] The following month, he adopted a new identity, Máscara Dorada 2.0, the original name being previously used byGran Metalik.^[9] By the end of the year, he had dropped the “2.0” and began competing simply as Máscara Dorada. That July, he won theLeyenda de Plata tournament, defeatingRocky Romero in the final.^[10] The two met again in December, with Dorada once again defeating Romero, this time to claim theWorld Historic Welterweight Championship.^[11] During this period, he also made appearances for CMLL’s partner promotions, includingNew Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) andAll Elite Wrestling (AEW).^[12][13]

Dorada’s momentum continued into 2024. In April, he entered theUniversal Championship, a tournament for CMLL title holders, and won the final by defeatingMagnus andTitán in a three-way elimination match.^[14] Three months later, he teamed up withNeón andStar Jr. to win theCMLL World Trios Championship.^[15] Their reign lasted two months, ending with a title loss in September.^[16] That same month, Dorada lost to Titán in theCopa Independencia tournament final at theCMLL 91st Anniversary Show.^[17]

In May 2025, he captured the World Trios Championship for a second time, this time alongside Místico and Neón, a trio known asEl Sky Team.^[18] Later that month, he also competed in the final of theCopa Junior VIP tournament, where he lost toZandokan Jr.^[19]

On November 10, 2023 atLonestar Shootout, Dorada made hisNew Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) debut, teaming withTiger Mask andAtlantis to defeatHechicero,Rocky Romero andÚltimo Guerrero.^[20] Dorada would also participate in the co-promoted CMLL and NJPW tour seriesFantastica Mania, competed in various matches, teaming with and facing both CMLL and NJPW representatives.

In January 2024, it was announced the CMLL stars, Dorada,Hechicero,Místico, andVolador Jr. would represent their home promotion, in American partner promotionAll Elite Wrestling (AEW).^[21] The four men made their debut on the January 31 episode ofDynamite, appearing ringside duringJon Moxley's singles match againstJeff Hardy. After being taunted by Moxley during the match, the four men attacked him after his victory, before being chased off by members of the AEW roster.^[22] The four men made their AEW in-ring debut during the February 2 episode ofRampage, defeatingChristopher Daniels,Matt Sydal,Angelo Parker and Matt Menard, in an 8-man tag-team match.^[23]

On the May 28, 2025 episode ofCollision, Dorada defeated Hechicero to qualify for thefour-way match to challengeKenny Omega for theAEW International Championship on June 4 atDynamite: Fyter Fest, where Dorada failed to win the title.^[24][25] On September 17 atDynamite: September to Remember, Dorada defeatedThe Beast Mortos to advance to anAEW Unified Championshipthree-way match atAll Out on September 20.^[26] He competed against defending championKazuchika Okada and fellow challengerKonosuke Takeshita, where despite having an impressive showing, Dorada came up short after being pinned following Okada's Rainmaker.^[27] On November 24, Dorada was announced as a participant in the2025 Continental Classic, where he was placed in the Blue League.^[28]
