Márcio Vieira de Vasconcelos (born 10 October 1984), known asVieira, is an Andorranfootballer who plays as amidfielder.

Club career

Born inAndorra la Vella toPortuguese parents who hailed fromMarco de Canaveses,Porto District,[3] Vieira's biggest achievement as a professional was appearing forF.C. Marco in twoPortuguese second division seasons even though he only played a total of 15 matches, all in2005–06.[3] He spent the remainder of his career inSpanish amateur football, his first club beingSE Eivissa-Ibiza.[4][5]

Vieira signed forAtlético Monzón in summer 2008, remaining inAragon for 15 years.[6][7] The 38-year-old returned to Portugal on 27 July 2023, joining amateursA.D. Marco 09 who hadrisen from the ashes of his first club.[8]

International career

Vieira won his firstcap for theAndorra national team on 12 October 2005, starting and beingreplaced early into the second half of a 0–3 home loss againstArmenia for the2006 FIFA World Cupqualifiers.[9][3] He played his 100th international on 17 November 2020, in the 5–0 defeat toLatvia for the2020–21 UEFA Nations League.[10]
