Ancient Lycian town

Lysinia (Ancient Greek:Λυσινία)[1] orLysinoe (Λυσινόη) was a town in the north ofancient Pisidia and later assigned toPamphylia.[2][3]Hierocles has the name asLysenara (Λυσήναρα).[4] It was located on the south of theAscania Lacus, and west ofSagalassus.

It became the seat of a bishop; no longer a residential bishopric, it remains atitular see of theRoman Catholic Church.[5]

Its site is located near the modern town ofKarakent inBurdur Province,Turkey.[6]
