Lynx (programming language)

Programming language for large distributed networks

Lynx is aprogramming language for large distributednetworks, usingremote procedure calls. It was developed by theUniversity of Wisconsin–Madison in 1984[1] for the Charlotte multicomputer operating system.

In 1986, at theUniversity of Rochester, Lynx was ported to the Chrysalis operating system running on a BBN Butterfly multiprocessor.
