Lwandle (from aXhosa word meaning "ocean") is a township inStrand, a town in the eastern part of theCape Town Metro in theWestern Cape province ofSouth Africa. Administratively it is a suburb of the City of Cape Town.[2] UnderApartheid it was agroup area for black people and is still predominantly populated by this community.
