Lutetium(III) selenide is aninorganic compound with the chemical formula Lu2Se3.
Lutetium(III) selenide can be obtained by reactinglutetium andselenium:
It can also be prepared by reactinglutetium oxide andhydrogen selenide at a high temperature:[2]
Lutetium(III) selenide can formorthorhombic AgLuSe2 in the binary system ofsilver selenide.[3] It can form Lu2PbSe4 and Lu2Pb4Se7 in the binary system oflead selenide.[4]
