Lumot Lake, also known asSierra Lake, is a man-made water reservoir located in thetowns ofCavinti andLumban ofLaguna province, in theSierra Madre Mountains of thePhilippines. The lake was created whenLumot Dam, anembankment dam, was constructed damming the Lumot River, creating an auxiliary water reservoir forLake Caliraya as part of theKalayaan Pumped-Storage Hydroelectric Plant.[1] The waters between the two lakes are conveyed by a 2.3 kilometres (1.4 mi)penstock.[2]

Lumot Lake is less developed than the bigger Lake Caliraya but both lakes are popular spots forwater sports andlargemouth bass fishing.[3]
