Fenhaus was inspired to race after watching his cousin, father, and grandfather race snowmobiles on ice oval tracks. He would start racing snowmobiles and then began racing on pavement ingo-kart andbandolero racing.[1] At age 14, he began competing inlate model racing events atState Park Speedway in his hometown ofWausau, Wisconsin.[2] Growing up, he watched races at the track and was inspired byTim Sauter and his success in races there.[1] He was part of theAlan Kulwickidriver development program and would win the Lodi Memorial and the 2018 track championship at State Park Speedway.[3]
After winning the 2021Slinger Nationals, Fenhaus earned a spot in theSuperstar Racing Experience race atSlinger Speedway. He competed in the race against many current and formerNASCAR andIndyCar drivers and finished second (behindMarco Andretti) and led the most laps.[4]
In January 2022, Fenhaus drove a stock car for the first time as he tested anARCA Menards Series car in the series' preseason test session atDaytona International Speedway forFast Track Racing.[5] He did not end up running any ARCA races for Fast Track or another team in 2022.
In the CARS Tour, Fenhaus drove the No. 96Chevrolet for Highlands Motorsports in 2022 and won the championship in their Pro Late Model Tour.[6]
On March 3, 2023, it was announced that Fenhaus would run the full season in theARCA Menards Series East for the newPinnacle Racing Group team in their No. 28 car.[7] After winning two races atNashville Fairgrounds Speedway andIowa Speedway, he finished second in the championship toWilliam Sawalich after suffering a crash in the season finale atBristol Motor Speedway.
In 2024, it was revealed that Fenhaus would make his debut in theNASCAR Craftsman Truck Series atWorld Wide Technology Raceway, driving the No. 66Ford forThorSport Racing, where he finished in tenth place.[8] He then ran the races atPocono Raceway andLucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, finishing 22nd and seventh respectively.[9]
In 2025, it was announced that Fenhaus will run another partial Truck Series schedule with ThorSport in the No. 66, this time in eleven races.[10]
Fenhaus's cousin, father, and grandfather raced snowmobiles on ice oval tracks, and he started his racing career by racing snowmobiles before racing on pavement.[1] He was inspired by driversTim Sauter (from watching him race at State Park Speedway) andKevin Harvick (which is why he chose to race the No. 4 in late models and uses the same font that Harvick does in the Cup Series).[1]
In 2022, Fenhaus graduated early fromWausau East High School and moved from Wisconsin to North Carolina (where NASCAR teams are located).[2]
