Lucky Summer is a neighborhood in theKasarani area ofNairobi, Kenya. It is located approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) northeast of Nairobi'scentral business district. It is a high-density suburb that hosts the low-income earners residents of Nairobi. It gives its name to theLucky Summer Ward, an electoral ward with the same name.
Lucky Summer is one of the neighbourhoods electorally placed inRuaraka Constituency, within the largerKasarani Sub-county. It bordersDandora to the south. .
The Mwangaza community library is a facility developed by KOSCOBAR,[2] a Community-based Rehabilitation and Community Development project active in the slums of Nairobi. Owing to concerns over the possibility of burglary, the library is safeguarded by live-in security guard.[3]
