Lower Chehalis (Łəw̓ál̕məš) is a member of theTsamosan (orOlympic Peninsula) branch of theCoast Salish family ofSalishan languages. In some classifications, Lower Chehalis is placed closer toQuinault than it is toUpper Chehalis. It went extinct in the 1990s.
