Low-set ears are aclinical feature in which theears are positioned lower on the head than usual. They are present in manycongenital conditions. Low-set ears are defined as theouter ears being positioned two or morestandard deviations lower than the population average.[1] Clinically, if the point at which thehelix (curved upper part) of theouter ear meets thecranium is at or below the line connecting the innercanthi of eyes (thebicanthal plane), the ears are considered low set.[2][1]
