Love in Albania is acomedy play by the British writerEric Linklater, which was originally performed in 1949.^[1] After appearing at theLyric Theatre, Hammersmith it transferred toSt James's Theatre in theWest End. Directed by and starringPeter Ustinov the cast also includedBrenda Bruce,Molly Urquhart,Peter Jones andRobin Bailey. It was staged with the support of theArts Council of Great Britain. Ustinov played a buffoonish Americanmilitary policeman searching for his long-lost daughter in wartimeLondon.^[2]
