Sir Louis William Smith (21 March 1879 – 15 March 1939)^[1] was aBritish Conservative Party politician.

After studying atHarrogate College, Smith became anengineer and acompany director. He was elected asMember of Parliament (MP) forSheffield Hallam at aby-election in July 1928,^[2] and held the seat until his death in 1939, aged 59.^[2]
