Louis Smith (British politician)

Sir Louis William Smith (21 March 1879 – 15 March 1939)[1] was aBritishConservative Partypolitician.

After studying atHarrogate College, Smith became anengineer and acompany director. He was elected asMember of Parliament (MP) forSheffield Hallam at aby-election in July 1928,[2] and held the seat until his death in 1939, aged 59.[2]
