Lorne is a community in theCanadian province ofNova Scotia, located inPictou County alongRoute 374.[1]

Lorne was originally known as "Big Brook".Sir Simon Fraser, a future Australian senator, was born in the area. His grandsonMalcolm Fraser became Prime Minister of Australia.[2]
