2003 television docudrama about Queen Victoria

Looking for Victoria was a two-hour television docudrama on the life ofQueen Victoria, presented byPrunella Scales and showing Scales' research for her one-woman showAn Evening with Queen Victoria.[1] Shown onBBC 1 in 2003,[2] and available onBBC iPlayer, as two 56-minute programmes,[3] it was directed by Louise Osmond and narrated byGeoffrey Palmer, while its cast includedCharlie Hayes as the young Victoria, Tom Allen as the youngPrince Albert,Andrew Sachs asBenjamin Disraeli,Timothy West asThomas Creevey,Timothy Walker asWilfred Scawen Blunt,Richenda Carey asLady Wharnecliffe,David Ryall asHenry James,Charles Dance asCharles Greville andGeoffrey Bayldon asHenry Ponsonby. Filming locations included Royal Glen Hotel[4] inSidmouth.
