Llandrinio is a small village andcommunity inMontgomeryshire,Powys,Wales, close to theWales-England border. It is situated on theB4393 road which travels from the village ofFord, Shropshire toLake Vyrnwy. The community,Llandrinio and Arddleen includesArddlin and a small part ofFour Crosses, Powys.
Llandrinio community is home to 1,485 people (2011 census).[1]
The mainly Norman church ofSt Trunio is aGrade II* listed building.[2]
The village has avillage hall and a playing field, which is used by the localcricket team and the juniorfootball teams. The annualcarnival has been opened by well-known faces such as actorRyan Thomas. TheRiver Severn andOffa's Dyke both run through the village. The river is crossed byLlandrinio Bridge which leads to the hamlet of Crew Green, about a mile east of the village and close to English border. The village is also road linked to the towns ofWelshpool,Oswestry,Newtown andShrewsbury.
Anelectoral ward in the same name exists. This ward had a population of 2,191 at the 2011 Census.[3]
