TheLittle River, aperennial river[1] that is part of theHawkesbury-Nepean catchment, is located in theSouthern Highlands region ofNew South Wales,Australia.
The Little River rises north of the locality of Hilltop and west of theHume Freeway nearBargo, and flows generally north northeast and then north northwest, before reaching itsconfluence with theNattai River south of the locality of Nattai. The river descends 475 metres (1,558 ft) over its 27-kilometre (17 mi)course.[2]
The river flows through theNattai National Park and is a source ofwater for theSydney region.
