This is a list of all theultra-prominent peaks (withtopographic prominence greater than 1,500 metres) in theHimalayas. Listed separately, to the west and north-west are theKarakoram and Hindu Kush Ultras, and while to the north-east and east are theultras of Tibet. 9 of the 10 Himalayan8,000m peaks are ultras (the exception isLhotse), and there are a further 28 peaks over 7000m.
