On 13 March in hail and sleet storms, heavy waves swept both vessels, still connected, onto a reef.Ben Bhuela was refloated on 14 March and beached nearby for temporary repairs and refloated again. On 16 March in heavy swells she started leaking again and was beached atCaolila, temporary repairs were made and she was refloated, taken toFleetwood where she was repaired and returned to service.[16]
CyelseUnited KingdomTwo days after the 120-foot (37 m), 237-ton trawler towedBen Bheula (United Kingdom) intoCastlebay both ships, in hail and sleet storms, heavy waves swept both, still connected, onto a reef. She was declared a total loss.[17]
