Following is a comprehensive list of allArticle III andArticle IVUnited States federal judges appointed byPresidentBarack Obama during his presidency, as well as a partial list ofArticle I federal judicial appointments, excluding appointments to theDistrict of Columbia judiciary.^[1]

The total number of ObamaArticle III judgeship nominees to be confirmed by theUnited States Senate is 329, including two justices to theSupreme Court of the United States, 55 judges to theUnited States Courts of Appeals, 268 judges to theUnited States district courts, and four judges to theUnited States Court of International Trade. Obama did not make anyrecess appointments to the federal courts.

In terms ofArticle I courts, Obama made eight appointments to theUnited States Tax Court, three appointments to theUnited States Court of Federal Claims, three appointments to theUnited States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, two appointments to theUnited States Court of Military Commission Review, and two appointments to theUnited States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. He also elevated two chief judges of the Court of Federal Claims.

On theArticle IVterritorial courts, President Obama made two appointments and elevated one judge to the position of chief judge.
