As of November 2024, Jollibee operates over 1,300 stores in the Philippines and 400 elsewhere.[1]
As reported in a 1990 article inThe Washington Times, Jollibee had two locations inTaiwan and one in theBrunei along with 58 locations in thePhilippines.[2]
According to a 1995 article in theWall Street Journal, Jollibee had five locations in Brunei, two in Jakarta, Indonesia, and one in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates along with 160 locations in the Philippines.[3]
By the end of 2011, Jollibee had 31 locations in Vietnam, 27 in the United States, 11 in Brunei, 7 in Saudi Arabia (all in Jeddah), and 1 each in Hong Kong and Qatar along with 747 locations in the Philippines.[4]

Jollibee had previously targeted opening a branch inRomania in 1995.[104][105] In 2021, JFC was targeting to add 50 stores in Europe in the following five years.[106][107]
In an October 2015 forum, Jollibee president and CEO Tony Tan Caktiong announced that Jollibee planned to open their first branches inAustralia andJapan by 2018.[69][70] In a signing ceremony on 26 October 2016, Caktiong said that Jollibee might open stores in Japan in 2018.[108] Within the same month, JFC secured partnership with Ise Foods (renamed Tamago & Company Inc) to open a Jollibee outlet in Japan.[109] By October 2017, the projected dates of Jollibee's entrance into the two markets were pushed to 2020.[110]
On 4 April 2022, it was reported that Jollibee will be opening its first Australian branch inCampbelltown, a suburb ofSydney,New South Wales, with pre-construction plans already in progress.[111][112]
Jollibee planned to open its first outlet inThailand sometime around 2025.[113]
As of 2024,Chile has 2 unfinished WIP franchises for Jollibee that have yet to initiate construction. One is in the Santiago city centre with the other one recently established in Lampa. It is unsure when Chile will have its debut with Jollibee, but it is predicted that the debut will happen by the next 2 years. Once it debuts, it will be the first ever franchise for Jollibee in the entirety ofSouth America and inLatin America.[citation needed]
Jollibee also considered reestablishing presence in Indonesia in late 2016 to mid-2017.[97] It also considered reestablishing presence in China.[100] The chain planned to come to Cambodia and Bangladesh at an undisclosed date.[114][115]
"We have 1,700 stores globally, of which almost 1,300 is in the Philippines, and the balance of 400 is outside, with Vietnam being, again, the second-largest market after the Philippines," Shin said.
McDonald's is fighting back with a determined effort to catch its upstart rival. Last year it opened eight new outlets, a big increase on the four to five new restaurants opened in each of the previous few years. It now has 25 outlets, compared to Jollibee's 58. But Jollibee opened nine new outlets last year and plans another 10 in 1990... In Taiwan, it has added a fish fillet sandwich... Jollibee found the Taiwanese didn't like its sweet spaghetti sauce and so made it "more bland." In Muslim Brunei, it calls its hamburgers beefburgers and is certified as a restaurant that prepares food according to Muslim law. "You have to adjust to their customs and religion," Mr. Sumulong said. "They won't eat 'hamburgers' because pork is forbidden." The same flexible approach will be used to spearhead expansion into North America and help the company achieve its goal of becoming a 200-store chain by 1995.
