This is alist ofairports inAfghanistan, grouped by type and sorted by location.

Afghanistan has fourinternational airports which are expected to increase in the future.[1] TheKabul International Airport serves the population ofKabul and the surrounding areas; theMaulana Jalaluddin Balkhi International Airport serves northern Afghanistan; theAhmad Shah Baba International Airport inKandahar serves the southern parts of the country; and theKhwaja Abdullah Ansari International Airport inHerat serves the population of western Afghanistan. TheAfghan government is seeking to build a newinternational airport in theMohammad Agha District ofLogar Province.[2][1]

There are also about 16 regional domestic airports which are spread over the country in various provinces, which serve the smaller, more remote areas. Some of these airports havegravelled airside facilities and operate undervisual flight rules.[1]
