This is alist ofstate parks and reserves in theVirginia state park system.

Virginia opened its state park system on June 15, 1936 as a six-park system. The six original state parks were Seashore State Park (nowFirst Landing State Park),Westmoreland State Park,Staunton River State Park,Douthat State Park,Fairy Stone State Park, andHungry Mother State Park. In addition to the 44 official state parks, two additional properties, theSouthwest Virginia Museum and the Green Pastures Recreation Area, are also administered as part of the state park system.[1]
